Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking a part-time (FTE 0.558) Learning Support Teacher (SPARC) to commence in April 2025. This role is approx. 21 hours per week spread across 3 days.
Our Support Program of Applied Readiness for Community (SPARC) program sits within our Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) department. The SPARC program is an individualised program designed for students who have significant social and academic challenges within the mainstream classroom. The SPARC program provides tailored support for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they are equipped for academic success, social development, and life in the wider community. A respect for individual difference is an implicit value in the SPARC program and reflects the Biblical foundation that we are uniquely created in the image of God.
As a Learning Support Teacher (SPARC), you will work closely with the Director of Learning Support and the LEAPS Coordinator to provide targeted, individualised educational support for students with diverse learning needs. As a member of our Learning Support team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of students and their families, while growing professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.
