Your Day-To-Day:

We are looking for a lead developer to guide and mentor FinanceOne’s development team, supporting and improving technical architecture, tools and solutions selection, and development processes! Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you will be responsible for:

• Mentorship of a highly collaborative team to maintain and enhance the software platform that underpins the core business of the company.
• Working closely with analysts, business leaders and process owners, you will drive delivery of leading-edge software for our business, as well as develop new customer-facing solutions across Australasia.
• You will be working directly with key internal customers to understand requirements, find solutions and work with the team to make them a reality.
• Hands-on development work with a highly skilled Australia-based development team.
• Responsibility for ensuring ongoing improvement in the development aspects of the agile process.
• Coaching and mentoring of a growing development team.
• You will have the opportunity to shape the way the company delivers software.
• You will also need strong soft skills, and the necessary business acumen to listen to customers and learn from peers.

Our code base covers internal platforms and integrations with multiple third-party tools, as well as exciting greenfield product opportunities:

• Frontend (TypeScript, React + Redux, Vite, Figma)
• Backend (C#, VB.Net, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, Fluent Validation, Hangfire, Serilog)
• Authentication (JWT, OAuth)
• Databases and ORMs (SQL Server, Postgres, Dapper, Entity Framework)
• Cloud Services (AWS S3, Azure Queue Storage)
• Continuous integration and deployment (Octopus Deploy, Azure Pipelines)
• Experience of credit analysis and management, customer data management, decisioning, invoicing/billing management, and payments management would be well regarded.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will possess the below:

• Tertiary IT degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
• Experience developing elegant software product solutions from complex processes and data in agile, dynamic environments
• Experience working with design as a key input to development, in a customer-driven UX environment
• Experience in B2B and B2C environments, understanding the variations in scale vs. functional depth
• Experience managing growing teams through increasing levels of maturity in a growth company
• Experience of guiding the overarching software development philosophy, advising architects and developers as to approach and managing short term vs. long term decision making and trade-offs
• Experience in the development and implementation of service-oriented architectures, including complex integration landscapes
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure) and deployment strategies and tools
• Intellectual curiosity – an ability to grasp complex concepts and new technologies quickly
• Ability to tailor communications and approach to the specific customer, regardless of whether they are an internal individual or a representative of a company
