Financial Accountant

Join an established luxury hospitality group in the role of Financial Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4 first or second mover/Mid tier accountant to gain hands-on commercial experience, reporting directly to a supportive and impressive Financial Controller.

The role will give you the opportunity to get exposure across a range of businesses in high-end hospitality, property, and childcare while you work across the end-to-end accounting function.

Duties include:

1. Oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end processes.
2. Month End & Quarterly financial reporting.
3. Preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements.
4. Actively participate in all internal and external audit engagements (e.g., year-end audit).
5. Review balance sheet reconciliations.
6. Participate in internal control and system reviews, document policies and procedures.
7. Manage tax compliance, including Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Business Activity Statements (BAS).
8. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights.

Skills:

1. CA/CPA qualified.
2. Big 4 first or second mover/Second Tier mover/Accountant with 3-4 years experience.
3. Experience in taxation beneficial.
4. Strong communication and business partnering skills essential.
