Executive Manager Community Response Program

As the Executive Manager, Community Response Program, you will be responsible for successfully delivering and implementing a multifaceted technological solution to support cardiac arrests or other high acuity situations in Queensland. The role operates at a senior level, providing strategic coordination of, and ongoing statewide support to improve patient outcomes by enhancing & supporting the ability of the QAS to respond to community cardiac arrest. The program will support the objectives of the QAS Cardiac Arrest Improvement Plan which was established to ensure all Queenslanders receive a rapid systems led approach to cardiac arrest care in the community, thereby maximising survival from an Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA). The Plan focuses on optimising the ‘chain-of-survival’ that links the community, ambulance & post-resuscitation care responses, to improve survival outcomes.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:

  • Demonstrated achievement in managing and delivering a diverse project across a statewide, non-centralised organisation, including the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expert level knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply organisational requirements, relevant legislation and policy, and contribute to strategic outcomes through the provision of innovative healthcare initiatives.
  • Proven highly developed innovative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a flexible and agile approach in a rapidly changing and sensitive organisational environment to deliver a program across multiple organisational business units.
  • Demonstrated well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills including the proven ability to prepare and write high-level correspondence, presentations and reports.
  • Demonstrated, or ability to rapidly acquire expert knowledge of the technologies, systems and clinical pathways associated with the delivery of a program overlapping communications, operational and corporate service delivery.
  • Well-developed organisational skills, including the proven ability to multi-task, demonstrate sound judgement and work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
