What are you going to do


Key Responsibilities


  1. Plan and monitor progressive rehabilitation efforts.
  2. Implement erosion and sediment control measures.
  3. Provide land disturbance advice and manage permitting.
  4. Conduct assessments for closure planning and approvals.
  5. Develop and execute environmental management plans.
  6. Oversee contractors on environmental projects.
  7. Support environmental reporting and compliance.
  8. Engage with the workforce to promote environmental awareness.
  9. Mentor and develop junior environmental team members.

Essential skills and knowledge


  1. Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  2. 4+ years of experience in environmental management within the mining or resources sector (preferably coal).
  3. Supervisor qualifications - S1,2,3 & G2 (or ability to obtain).
  4. Experience with rehabilitation planning, fauna management, and risk management processes.
  5. Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices.
  6. Experience using GIS mapping software such as ArcGIS Pro.
  7. Strong ability to manage contractors and engage with stakeholders.
  8. A proactive approach to continuous improvement in environmental performance.
