Engineering Manager, AWS, Kafka, Data Streaming

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of software, integration, and quality engineers, providing technical leadership to 10+ people for the product system.

What You Will Bring:

1. Proficiency in Java software development, with in-depth knowledge of architecture patterns and APIs.
2. Experience in developing APIs and cloud-based solutions (AWS), focusing on micro-service architectures (Java, Spring Boot, EKS, Confluent Kafka).
3. Expertise in enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools, providing guidance on best practices.
4. Strong understanding of cloud engineering principles, with design and development experience in one or more cloud environments, preferably AWS.
5. Knowledge of cloud concepts such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
6. Familiarity with containerisation concepts and implementation considerations.
7. Experience with complex data structures and semi-structured data (JSON, XML).
8. Experience with Design Governance, taking responsibility for the end-to-end software design process across large programs of work.
9. Curiosity and compassion.
10. Business acumen in Enterprise Risk and Derivatives product life-cycle.
11. Leadership experience with a passion for coaching and mentoring both direct and indirect reports.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
