The Role

Our Queensland Development team has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and dynamic Development Manager to manage the delivery of a live project. The project has commenced and is funded. This is a full-time contract (however part-time contracts may also be considered) located in either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast.

The team has been working together for over 2 years and has demonstrated achievements together. You will be leading a supportive internal team including an Assistant Development Manager and a Project Manager.

As the Development Manager, you are key to the delivery and execution of the project. It is important you understand the development of greenfield and brownfield assets and can manage built form products with an external builder.

You will:

  • Be able to operate with autonomy while maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including the project’s development partner.
  • Lead the project team on and off site to achieve targets by safely and efficiently delivering the project on time and within budget.
  • Engage with the finance, operations, sales and marketing teams to optimise revenues and project KPIs.
  • Deliver regular reports and prepare funding papers demonstrating the project financials.
  • Hold the vision of the project to ensure delivery of a product that meets our customers’ needs.
  • Be forward-thinking to initiate and drive outcomes for the project.

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Development Manager in the property development industry
  • Tertiary qualification in a property-related field - Property Economics, Architecture, Engineering, Project/Construction Management
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a project’s commercial viability, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and sustainability standards
  • Ability to deliver clear, concise and accurate reports
  • High level of stakeholder engagement with strong influencing skills
  • Delivery experience with built form or civil projects.
