We’ve created a brand-new Strata Specialist role within our Dynamic Property Services team. We’re calling this senior role a Defects and Projects Manager.

You will be responsible, not for managing a portfolio, but rather matters that require specialist attention. You’ll be working with our Strata Managers and their customers on complex issues like major defects, remedial projects, and legal disputes.

This is the perfect role for an experienced and senior Strata Manager, to move away from day-to-day portfolio management and use your skills in stakeholder management, project management, and your experience in legal matters to enhance the communities we work with.

Your duties will include the following:

  • Be the primary liaison for complex defects management for our customers.
  • Be the primary liaison for complex legal matters and work with our customers through this process – this includes matters referred to the Supreme Court.
  • Manage remedial projects for our customers, liaising with multiple stakeholders to project completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the matters listed above, liaising with strata managers to complete a smooth handover and ensure the best possible experience for our customers.
  • Develop best practice guides for handovers between yourself and our teams on managing complex issues and provide enhanced tracking and reporting on the progress of same.

About you:

  • You have at least 5 years’ experience as a Strata Manager, managing large and complex portfolios.
  • Minimum of 5 years in handling defects, legal disputes, and larger remedial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex issues involving multiple stakeholders (customers, engineers, fire safety professionals).
  • You have a strong understanding of legislation and can convey complex ideas in a simple way.
  • You have advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Have your class 2 strata managing agent license or equivalent qualifications.
  • You are a true problem solver and thrive on delivering solutions.
  • You can communicate well and influence positive outcomes.
  • Previous leadership experience and skills are highly desirable.

What we can offer you!

  • BRAND NEW POSITION that you can make your own.
  • Great hybrid working model, work from home 50% of the time.
  • Opportunity to work in Strata without managing a portfolio; this is a true “subject matter expert” role.
  • We also offer industry-leading perks; everyone loves having their birthday off but also discounts on wellbeing services.
  • Develop processes and procedures and make meaningful contributions to your coworkers’ and committees’.
