Credit Manager

MARS Recruitment is collaborating with a leading Australian law firm to recruit a Credit Manager. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in credit management within a professional services environment, specialising in billing, collections, and financial reporting. The Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee the collections team, ensuring effective cash collection and adherence to company protocols.
2. Manage high-value collections while maintaining a small client ledger.
3. Implement and monitor escalation processes to resolve outstanding debts efficiently.
4. Provide strategic support to the Head of Credit & Financial Operations, contributing to profitability and growth initiatives.
5. Supervise Accounts Receivable and Credit Control teams, including work allocation, training, and performance management.
6. Oversee working capital processes, including write-offs, transfers, and reconciliations.
7. Develop expertise in internal systems, leveraging reporting functionalities for enhanced decision-making.
8. Engage stakeholders to drive process improvements and implement best practices.

The Requirements:

1. Minimum two years of experience in a financial or professional services environment.
2. Strong knowledge of working capital processes and credit management best practices.
3. Experience with eBilling systems is highly regarded.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
5. A qualification in Commerce, Finance, or a related business discipline is preferred.

To Note:

1. Hybrid working model - 3 days in the office per week.
2. Office located in Sydney's CBD, close to public transport links.
