Cloud Architect

Summary:

The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for organisations. They analyse business needs and recommend innovative cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud-based solutions that align with organisational needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based services with existing infrastructures
• Evaluate cloud infrastructure technology trends, tools, and frameworks to ensure optimal system performance, security, and scalability
• Develop and implement cloud security policies, controls, and regulatory compliance guidelines
• Mentor and guide IT teams on cloud architecture and best practices
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to cloud-based services, infrastructure, and solutions
• Continuously monitor cloud solutions’ performance and identify areas for optimisation and improvement
• Work collaboratively with vendor partners to ensure that contractual obligations are met and service level agreements are achieved

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions
• Cloud Certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Deep understanding of cloud-based architectures, technologies, tools, and techniques
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, virtualisation, and storage technologies
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendor partners
• Exceptional project management and documentation skills
