About The Role

Undertake and develop your skill set in management and clinical or operational roles within the hospital pharmacy at University Hospital Geelong or St John of God Hospital Geelong.

Responsibilities Include

  • Undertake a clinical pharmacist role
  • Resolve medication related issues, supply medications, undertake Best Possible Medication History and Medication Management Plan processes, provide medicines information, counsel patients and facilitate the discharge process in accordance with defined target times
  • Ensure appropriate drug utilisation through implementation of hospital policy and formulary guidelines/restrictions, and through liaison with medical and nursing staff.
  • Participate in appropriate ward rounds and planning meetings.
  • Support the pharmacy intern and student programs.
  • Assist team members in delivering a clinical and operational pharmacy service
  • Ensure all work is complete accurately on time and in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures.
