Chessa Landoni Pty Ltd, trading as Cirelli&Co, is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant, pizzeria & bakery, operating in Brunswick West. We have achieved an iconic status in the Northern/Western suburbs due to our high standard of authentic Italian cuisine, and our passion for hand-made artisan pastries.

We are now seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our business on a full-time basis. Salary on offer is $73,150 for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Italian cooking techniques and a creative flair for developing innovative dishes. The right candidate has also 1 year experience working as a Pizza Maker. He/she will be able to hand-make fresh pasta, traditional Italian sauces, and desserts.

In this role, he/she will assist in overseeing kitchen operations and working with other team members in running an efficient kitchen, reporting directly to the Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes according to the menu and customer preferences.
2. Collaborate with the kitchen team to create seasonal menus and special offerings.
3. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (at least 1 year).
2. Have relevant qualifications or skills (Cert III and Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and/or Diploma of Hospitality Management).
3. Be self-motivated, creative, confident, and enthusiastic.
4. Be a team player.
5. Hands-on experience in Italian cuisine is highly regarded.

Pay: $73,150 per year

Schedule: The Full-time position is 5 shifts worked over a 7-day roster which may include lunch and/or dinner service including on weekends and public holidays.
