At Baby Bunting, we’re on a mission to be customer-first, and we need a dynamic Merchandise Buyer to help us get there! Reporting directly to our Chief Merchandise and Planning Officer, you'll be the go-to expert working alongside a fantastic team of Buyers, Trainee Buyers, Buying Assistants, and the Planning team. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing department/category and Pod merchandise plans, within our Wellness & Lifestyle pod – as the dedicated buyer for Baby Health, Bath & Potty, Consumables, Gift, Home Safety and Nappies. Your goal? Maximising sales, profit, and supplier income while leading a team of buyers and assistants.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the Charge: Drive game-changing process improvements across the business, including representing and leading projects and initiatives in the wider business.
- Strategise Like a Pro: Team up with the Chief Merchandise and Planning Officer to create smart, sales-boosting department and category plans.
- Own Pricing & Product Strategy: Set killer pricing, pick the best sales channels, and create winning product strategies.
- Supplier Superstar: Negotiate the best deals, build strong vendor relationships, and grow our exclusive and private label products.
- Let Data Be Your Guide: Use insights from competitors, trends, and performance reviews to fine-tune product selection and range plans.
- Lead & Inspire: Be the leader your team looks up to, fostering a culture of innovation and helping everyone shine!
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, digital, and operations to create a seamless shopping experience and hit those targets!
