Job Description
SGS is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity that will allow you to work from home and the office based near Perth Airport with this 12 month Maternity leave cover.
Responsibilities will include, however not limited to:
- Perform analysis on performance for line of Business (LOB)
- Balance sheet review and other corporate deliverables
- Lead the planning process for the LOB.
- Provide validation of the forecast and reasons for variation against the trend.
- Validation and compilation of budgeting activities.
- Provide early warning of material deviations, support and monitor corrective actions to be taken.
- Tracking the deliverables to achieve revenue and LC targets.
- Monitoring of unbilled and WIP, provisions.
- Contribute to strategy & decision making, whilst being a constructive challenger.
- Provide strategic input and financial support to commercial & operating issues.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree in business management / accounting or in the relevant technical subject.
- Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a financial accounting or financial management role.
- Extensive Statutory reporting experience in a medium to large business.
- Demonstrable supervisory and / or people management experience.
- Good understanding of basic Treasury concepts (such as liquidity management and hedging).
