Barber

We are currently seeking a highly skilled barber to cut hair and support the professional training of people in custody.

The barber trainer will help the people in our care develop new skills, improving their employment prospects on return to the community.

The successful candidate will be based out of Victoria’s new state-of-the-art correctional facility, Western Plains in the Geelong South-West area.

This is a role with a great purpose in a unique work environment.

The barber trainer will:

• Cut and style hair for the people in our care while maintaining safety protocols and following facility guidelines.
• Train and mentor people in barbering techniques, helping them build professional skills and confidence.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace that meets all health and safety regulations.
• Work with our education providers to deliver training programs and create instructional materials.
• Manage appointments effectively while creating a respectful and positive atmosphere.
