Territory Manager - Diagnostics, Melbourne

TERRITORY MANAGER – SOUTH REGION, MELBOURNE

About the Role:
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Territory Manager – Southern Region and based in Melbourne. The primary purpose of this role is to sell a range of diagnostics products and services primarily in molecular diagnostics and immuno-serology laboratories. Secondary to this role is to provide applications and technical support to all stakeholders for our diagnostic product range, which is primarily molecular-based techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Working to achieve agreed sales and profit targets
  2. Either initiate sales calls or respond to customer enquiries, ascertain customer needs and match with the company’s product range
  3. Follow marketing strategy, providing customer market feedback as requested
  4. Arrange and conduct demonstrations of the company's product range
  5. Negotiate sales with customers
  6. Creating customer awareness, recommend product types and arrange and participate in product demonstrations, seminars and workshops
  7. Develop a regular call pattern to represent the company's product range
  8. Maintain the company’s database of customer contacts and provide regular reports as requested
  9. Provide internal and external customers with technical and application support
  10. Develop and maintain a high level of technical and applications knowledge
  11. Attend training sessions, trade shows and other company business that may require evening/weekend attendance
  12. Follow all necessary instructions to enable the Quality Assurance Program.

About You:
We’re looking for someone who has:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant scientific field
  2. 2+ years laboratory or relevant commercial experience
  3. A high-level problem-solving ability
  4. A high degree of organisational ability
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
  7. Organised, friendly, and eager to contribute to process improvements.
