As an experienced Software Engineer, you will be an important player in our agile team structure to technologically advance our PMS (Property Management System). You will be part of a senior level architecture team, which is composed of seniors of all product teams. This team is tasked with continually modernizing our products and you will be the representative of the PMS team.

The core part of the PMS product is realized as a typical PHP/mySQL tech stack, but the system is evolving towards service orientation, serverless and AWS cloud technologies – a perfect moment to be at the forefront of the technological modernization of a successful product.

To be successful in this movement, we will build an offshore development team to strengthen the existing PMS team and to be able to implement the modernization in a reasonable time.

Due to your experience, you will be an essential driver in building and steering this offshore team and you will help your team colleagues in planning and executing product refactoring and modernization.

Based on your interests, you also can familiarize yourself with cloud technologies, work with modern monitoring tools or contribute to architectural discussions. You can get involved in various areas in addition to product-related software development, from security topics to the use of AI in development to the evaluation of other new technologies – we are used to working closely together beyond team boundaries and training each other.

1. Fullstack development of our PMS product written in PHP
2. Further feature development in PHP or serverless in AWS
3. Implementation of interfaces and APIs to other DS products
4. Refactoring of the existing product and architecture
5. Strong and active member of an agile team, including Product Owner support and cross-team collaboration
6. Being a driver towards offshore team-building
7. Fulfilling an integration role between product teams, offshore team and architecture team
8. Active part of a team of engineers with regards to defining overarching technical concepts and practices

1. Proven work experience of at least 7 years in the field of software development
2. Solid understanding of a programming language (i.e. PHP, Java)
3. Additional knowledge in React, Node.js and Typescript/JavaScript is an advantage
4. Experience with database systems (i.e. MySQL, SQL, MongoDB)
5. Competence in AWS and serverless architectures is an advantage
6. AI based Development and Tooling Knowhow is absolutely welcome
7. Experience with team building and ideally with integration and lead of offshore resources
8. Good understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. High sense of responsibility and goal-oriented way of working

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
