Senior Python Developer

Telair is a fast-growing Internet Service Provider with a strong focus on customer self-service, automation, and operational efficiency.

Our internal dev team builds and maintains all core systems—including our custom-built CRM (.NET), APIs, websites, and customer portals. We're currently building a Python backend that ties everything together to streamline operations and scale our business without bloating headcount.

Some of the projects currently underway include:

1. End-to-end automation of NBN service delivery via NBN’s REST API
2. Embedding network troubleshooting tools into the customer portal
3. Automating maintenance notifications for better customer comms

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our internal development team in Brisbane (in-office).

You’ll work alongside the existing team and report to our Dev Lead. You will focus on building the backend systems and automation tooling that connect our network, CRM, and operational platforms.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role—we want someone experienced who can write clean, scalable code, own delivery, and work efficiently within a tight-knit team.

What You’ll Do

1. Build and maintain Python backend systems to connect and automate internal platforms
2. Integrate and utilise Netbox for DCIM, enhance service delivery, and ensure our CRM systems work seamlessly with our network operations.
3. Integrate cloud systems with network and internal tools
4. Extend and enhance our in-house .NET CRM to support automated workflows
5. Collaborate with IT, network, and support teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
6. Document automation tools and maintain internal technical references
7. Stay current with new tech and bring ideas for smarter, faster ways to work
8. Work alongside other teams and provide training on new systems and processes.

What You’ll Need

1. Comfortable with REST APIs and integration work
2. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
3. Strong communication—you're confident working directly with internal stakeholders

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Ansible (or Salt, Puppet)
2. Familiarity with NetBox, InfoBlox, or similar tools
3. Networking knowledge (especially Juniper gear)
4. Exposure to .NET-based environments
