Senior Financial Accountant

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team.

The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to take charge of our financial reporting, compliance, and analysis functions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to provide valuable insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards (AASB) and regulatory requirements.
2. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
3. Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
4. Oversee tax compliance, including GST, FBT, BAS, and income tax returns.
5. Ensure adherence to internal controls and continuously improve financial policies and procedures.
6. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
7. Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
8. Mentor and support junior finance team members.

About You:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CA or CPA qualification is essential.
3. Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within a commercial or manufacturing environment.
4. Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
8. Mandarin speaking would be an advantage.
9. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
