Revenue Operations Manager

The Revenue Operations Manager is a pivotal role for maintaining financial operations and process improvements of a large public sector department. This role requires a candidate with a strong focus on people management, process improvement, innovation, and financial performance.

Description

The successful Revenue Operations Manager will be required to:

• Oversee and manage the department's transactional finance function to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial performance.
• Provide advice on new revenue opportunities, and keep the team updated on relevant legislation and policy changes affecting revenue.
• Analyse own-source revenue performance against KPIs and help develop policies and procedures that govern this.
• Contribute to the development of policies to ensure revenue processes are optimized and compliant with regulations.
• Establish a system for ongoing review of business processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Advocate for the use of technology to improve the revenue cycle and drive growth.
• Define and track KPIs to assess the performance of the revenue teams and ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
• Cultivate a culture of collaboration within the finance department, encourage knowledge sharing, and support continuous improvement and learning.

Profile

A successful Revenue Operations Manager should have:

• Prior experience in managing large finance teams.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end functions of transactional finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
• Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
• High proficiency in financial software and databases, SAP desired however, not a prerequisite.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
