Happy Haven OSHC is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Professional Development Assistant on a fixed-term, full-time basis for 12 months!

As a South Australian-owned and operated company, we manage 49 OSHC services across the state. We are an Approved Provider with a skilled team delivering outstanding OSHC programs on school sites.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the administrative functions of our Professional Development Team, helping to ensure the smooth operation and success of our initiatives. If you have a passion for administration, we encourage you to apply.

About the role:

  1. Track expiring certificates, upload certificates and input expiry dates into relevant software, remind educators of certificate renewal, liaise with external Training Organisations for educator training, and submit reimbursement forms to Finance.
  2. Submit reports to National Quality Agenda IT System (NQAITS) Portal, gather necessary documents, form responses to Education Standards Board requests, send reports to internal stakeholders.
  3. Submit Intervac Applications and funding claims.
  4. Manage the Professional Development Team mailbox, and oversee the organisation and management of document storage using Microsoft SharePoint.
  5. Arrange team meetings and distribute the agenda.
  6. Handle internal incident reporting calls and respond to external family feedback calls.
  7. Coordinate the venue, catering and resources for staff training.
  8. Actively seek improvement opportunities and support team members as directed by senior leadership.

Requirements:

  1. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  2. Proficiency in computer software packages and keyboard skills.
  3. Proficiency in using technology tools for virtual training.
  4. Innovative problem-solving for adapting content to various learning scenarios.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport with participants.
  6. Organisational and time management skills.
  7. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and training schedules.
  8. Experience in Administration (required).
  9. Experience in Education and Care environments (desirable).
  10. Hold or willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (required).
  11. Hold or be willing to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RHHAN-EC) certificate (required).
