We are looking for a talented and experienced M&E Design Manager to take the lead on mechanical and electrical (M&E) design and construction activities within major transport infrastructure projects, including motorway and rail, based in Adelaide. In this role, you will oversee the design and implementation of critical systems such as Low Point Sum, MVAC, Fire Detection, and Fire Suppression.

This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from your home state with the option to fly in and out of Adelaide as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the M&E design and construction activities across multiple transport infrastructure (road and rail) projects.
• Develop and implement project strategies, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and systems engineers, to ensure seamless project integration.
• Oversee procurement and installation of M&E systems, including electrical power distribution, lighting, HVAC, and communications.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, government bodies, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality assurance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks related to M&E design and construction.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years experience working in the Mechanical and Electrical space on major road/tunnel projects and have at least 5 years relevant management experience.
• Extensive experience in M&E design and construction management within the transport infrastructure (road and rail) sector.
• Experienced in successfully delivering transport infrastructure (road and rail) projects in Australia.
• Strong understanding of Australian transport infrastructure (road and rail) industry standards.
• Experience in managing contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations relevant to transport infrastructure (road and rail) construction.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.
