The role:

As the Inventory & Dispatch Supervisor, you will:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager to manage the daily warehouse functions (inbound, outbound, data entry, reconciling inventory levels, creating new storage locations, stock control, picking and packing orders, organising dispatch, and OH&S)
• Review delivery documents, checking inventory and input data into the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Pick, pack, dispatch and invoice customer orders
• Key in and process urgent customer orders, and organise the delivery of goods to the customer locations
• Prepare orders and update the customer on expected ETA
• Reconcile backorders and notify management of any discrepancies with inventory levels
• Update ETAs on the WMS system and advise the sales and customer service teams of any delivery issues
• Book, arrange and coordinate couriers to ensure customer delivery timeframes are met
• Operate the high-reach forklift and unload and put away deliveries from containers and trucks
• Unpack deliveries and sort products into their assigned warehouse areas and bin locations
• Assist the Warehouse Manager and National Supply Chain Manager with process improvement initiatives
• Conduct regular stocktakes to ensure physical stock matches units in the system
• Input inventory data into a WMS and Excel file and extract weekly and monthly reports for the senior management team
• Ensure company and warehouse OH&S standards are maintained
• Manage and order warehouse supplies, and coordinate with labour hire company for staffing requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory & Dispatch Officer or Leading Hand working in a commercial supply environment servicing Trade, Mining, Building, Construction, and Industrial customers
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work in an autonomous environment
• Exceptional communication and listening skills
• Must have a current Forklift licence
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Microsoft packages (WORD, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong decision-making capability with the ability to manage and resolve customer problems
• Professional qualifications in Warehousing or Distribution Management will be highly regarded
