Group Training Field Officer

About the role

ATEC are seeking an experienced field officer, or passionate trades person to join our Group Training Organisation. The purpose of this role is to actively expand the number of Host Employers and Apprentices within ATEC Group Training and to develop and support ATEC Group Training apprentices/trainees to complete their Training Contract and graduate as qualified tradespeople.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity leave cover).

What you'll be doing

• Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to apprentices and trainees to support their development and progression
• Conduct regular workplace visits to monitor the progress of apprentices and trainees and identify any areas for support or improvement
• Collaborate with host employers to ensure apprentices and trainees are receiving appropriate on-the-job training and experience
• Maintain detailed records of apprentice/trainee progress and provide regular reporting to key stakeholders
• Identify and address any issues or concerns that may impact an apprentice/trainee's successful completion of their training
• Promote the benefits of group training and apprenticeships/traineeships to potential host employers
• WHS Inspections and RTW Incident Reporting

What we're looking for

• A trade qualification is highly advantageous; alternatively, experience in a trade-related role
• Experience in a group training or field officer role is advantageous
• Knowledge of Group Training Organisation's or vocational sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with apprentices, trainees, host employers and other stakeholders
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload
• A thorough understanding of vocational education and training regulations, apprenticeship/traineeship requirements and workplace assessment processes
• A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to think creatively to support the unique needs of individual apprentices and trainees
