The Role

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Director Workplace Culture & Experience to lead the development and implementation of key cultural and engagement initiatives across Monash Health. Reporting to the Chief People and Engagement Officer, this senior leadership role will shape the employee experience by embedding best practices in workplace culture, wellbeing, and inclusion.

As the Director Workplace Culture & Experience, you will play a critical role in enhancing workforce engagement, driving diversity and inclusion strategies, and fostering a positive, values-driven organisational culture. You will lead a team of specialists to implement evidence-based programs that improve employee satisfaction, leadership capability, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance employee engagement and experience through strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, values-aligned organisational culture.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Develop leadership and capability programs, supporting succession planning.
  • Lead non-clinical learning and development with innovative training approaches.
  • Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion improvements.
  • Attract and retain top talent.
  • Utilise workforce data and analytics for informed planning.
  • Ensure financial accountability and strategy alignment with budgetary goals.

About You

You are an experienced and visionary leader with a strong background in organisational culture, people engagement, and workplace wellbeing. Your ability to drive meaningful change, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and develop high-impact strategies makes you an ideal candidate for this role.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role focused on workplace culture, employee engagement, or organisational development.
  • Strong expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic workplace culture and engagement programs.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A data-driven and evidence-based approach to assessing and improving employee experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
