About the Role: We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant with QuickBooks knowledge to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with a finance background who enjoys working remotely and can support our finance operations with precision and efficiency.

NOTE: This is an Independent Contractor Position.

Scope of Work:

  1. Manage and update financial records in QuickBooks.
  2. Handle accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments.
  3. Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling accounts, tracking expenses, and processing invoices.
  4. Generate financial reports and summaries to support decision-making.
  5. Help prepare financial documentation for audits and tax preparation.
  6. Provide administrative support for the finance team as needed, including process documentation and system improvements.

Qualifications:

  1. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Suite.
  2. Communication: Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with a proactive approach to follow-up and task management.

Nice-to-Haves:

  1. Familiarity with Notion or similar project management tools.
  2. Previous experience working in a start-up or building Finance processes from the ground up.

Availability:

  1. Schedule: Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.
  2. Working Hours: Standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM CST, but we offer flexibility to adjust based on your schedule and work needs. We value work-life balance and understand that different time zones may require adjustments, as long as key responsibilities are met and team communication is maintained.
  3. Quiet Workspace: A quiet office environment is required for making and receiving calls.
  4. Technical Requirements: Minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps (15 Mbps or higher preferred). A reliable desktop computer or fast laptop running Windows 8 or a more recent version of Windows, or an iOS device. The system should have at least 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of available hard drive space.
