Your key responsibilities
In the Applied Scientist role you will play a crucial part in pioneering research and development across various facets of AI, including but not limited to computer vision, natural language processing, and audio signal processing. Your work will involve the creation and optimization of cutting-edge AI algorithms and deep learning models, contributing to advancements in areas such as semantic understanding, multidimensional data interpretation, and human-machine interactions. Furthermore, your innovative efforts will be applied to a spectrum of practical use cases, serving pivotal industries such as finance, oil and gas, environmental science, and healthcare, thereby driving forward the frontier of impactful AI solutions in real-world scenarios.
- Engage in the design, analysis and optimization of foundational and applied research to power the state-of-the-art AI algorithms and model capabilities at Inception. This will involve staying well-informed of emerging trends, understanding and manipulating complex datasets, and conceptualizing models that are both innovative and applicable to real-world scenarios.
- Work on comprehensive solutions that integrate various modalities, including text, audio, and visual data, enhancing the AI's ability to understand and interpret human interaction in a more nuanced manner.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers across teams at Inception for the design, development, and continual improvement of AI algorithms, ensuring the implementations of such algorithms are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Work alongside product development teams to integrate new algorithms and models into broader product offerings, and conduct proofs of concept (POC) as per client needs, ensuring that these innovations translate into tangible benefits for users and stakeholders.
- Propose scenarios where AI techniques could improve the efficiency of the customer's business.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the business development team.
QualificationsSkills and attributes for success
The criteria for your success would include cost savings achieved, number of use cases investigated & datasets mined, number of innovations/POCs deployed, number of existing processes optimized, and customer NPS.
To qualify, you must have:
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering, or AI-related field. Specialization in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing or Speech and Audio are highly desirable.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in developing AI algorithms for various modalities.
- Track record of conducting high-level research, preferably evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals or a history of product-driven research and development.
Ideally, you’ll also need- A highly curious and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest developments in AI and machine learning.
- Excellent communication skills.
