Job Title: Private Yacht Captain for a 108-feet Motor Yacht

Reporting Port: Greece, Leros

Job Type: Full-Time

Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Captain to helm a 108-feet private motor yacht, ensuring a safe and efficient sea voyage for the yacht owner and guests. This position requires a professional with substantial experience in navigating private yachts of similar size. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved not only in navigation but also in the overall maintenance and upkeeping of the yacht while it is idle. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, with significant time spent in the Mediterranean waters.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate the yacht with the utmost safety, navigating through various conditions and locales.
2. Manage the daily operations of the yacht, including safety procedures, maintenance routines, and crew oversight.
3. Plan and execute itineraries in consultation with the yacht owner, adjusting routes as necessary due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
4. Perform regular maintenance checks and minor repair works on the yacht during idle periods to ensure all systems are operational and meet safety standards.
5. Ensure compliance with all local, international maritime laws and regulations.
6. Maintain accurate logs and records of the yacht’s operations, maintenance schedules, and crew activities.
7. Provide training and guidance to any other crew members about operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Captain on private motor yachts of more than 100 feet in length.
2. Strong technical knowledge and capability in yacht maintenance and troubleshooting.
3. Excellent navigational and maritime skills, with up-to-date certifications in maritime operations (e.g., STCW, MCA Master).
4. Current Schengen visa preferred to facilitate travel and itinerary flexibility within European waters.
5. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
6. Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate the crew.
