The Wound Care Staff Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. They will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care interventions and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Wound Care Staff Nurse will also provide education to patients and their families on wound care management and prevention.
Responsibilities
Assess and document the status of wounds, including size, depth, and signs of infection.
Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patient needs.
Administer and monitor wound care treatments and medications.
Educate patients on proper wound care techniques and self-management strategies.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to establish and revise wound care goals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wound care interventions.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in wound care and evidence-based practices.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care.
Strong knowledge of wound assessment and management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
