Workshop Technician Wheels Brakes

Job Responsibilities

1. Working knowledge of special procedures used in Wheel & Brake shop like Plastic media Blasting, Shot peening, and paint touch up.
2. Should be able to handle motorized equipment like Lifters and overhead cranes, to be used within the shop floor.
3. Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand symbols, flags, and general notes, and identify part location.
5. Basic knowledge in CAD/CAM such as Autocad and Mastercam.
6. Basic knowledge in developing tooling for In-Situ Machining.
7. Basic knowledge to characterize material machinability, tool holding, and tool cutter selection.
8. Hands-on experience in operating CNC Milling machines.
9. Knowledge in geometric dimensioning, tolerance, limits, fits & clearances.
10. Hands-on experience in operating Conventional machines such as Lathe, milling, and drilling machines.
11. Familiarity with machine shop safety procedures.
12. Hands-on experience in operating TIG welding machine & spot-welding machine.
13. Knowledge in TIG welding various metals such as steel, titanium alloys, nickel alloys, and aluminium alloys.
14. Possess knowledge of industrial safety practices.
15. Basic knowledge in assessing weld quality.
16. Ability to determine the requirements to weld various metals based on their material characteristics.
17. Ability to prepare & monitor plating parameters and chemicals addition.
18. Knowledge in chemical preparation/mixing of different types of solutions (etching/passivation/anodizing & chromating).
19. Ability to mix/prepare for tank plating & effluent treatment plant solution.
20. Knowledge of tank cadmium plating on aircraft parts.
