Job description

To ensure optimum advice and customer care quality for service customers in accordance with BMW Group and AGMC standards and successfully contribute to achieving Service Department targets and the organization's vision and mission.

Job Responsibility:

  1. Monitors and supervises the technicians' jobs and activities. Manages job allocations and additional jobs, prioritizing accordingly.
  2. Consistently supervises and monitors the technicians' performance. Assures highly efficient and productive employees, monitoring the quality and quantity of work done, time taken, the attitude at work, as well as adherence to 5S.
  3. Familiarizes each technician with company policies and individual responsibilities.
  4. Ensures that all warranty/Port Modification cases in the workshop will be observed and reported to the Technical Department.
  5. Monitors allowed time vs. actual time taken for the work.
  6. Reports any modification case to vehicle components and provides the necessary documentation for future reference (i.e., photos, etc.).
  7. Ensures constant coordination with Job Control for daily jobs and on-time advice for cases of urgency.
  8. Conducts the counterchecking of technicians' reports and mechanical estimations to ensure accuracy.
  9. Ensures proper adherence to Service Department procedures.
  10. Selects suitable technicians for training programs, monitors their skills and capabilities, and periodically reviews training requirements.
  11. Analyzes the reasons for repeat jobs and tries to prevent them.
  12. Assists technicians with complex repairs and diagnosis whenever necessary.
  13. Coordinates with TSA for warranty & F1 issues and correspondingly reports to the Workshop Manager.
  14. Monitors technicians' activities to ensure on-time job completion and in case of any delay, coordinates/reports to the job control accordingly.
  15. Guarantees proper safekeeping and maintenance of the issued tools, conducting a periodic inventory and taking responsibility for any discrepancy.
  16. Performs other related tasks assigned by the Workshop Manager and/or Service Manager.
  17. Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the Line Manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.

Candidate Profile:

  1. 5+ years of experience in aftersales within the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a luxury or high-performance brand.
  2. Knowledge in working with CDK Autoline would be an advantage.
  3. Technical knowledge in Aftersales Automotive operations.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  5. Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, Business Management, or a related field.
  6. Valid UAE driver's license would be an advantage.
