Wireless Network Engineer

Responsible for overseeing all day to day network infrastructure activities like documenting, upgrading, administering, designing, configuring and maintaining equipment. Responsible for ensuring smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users (staff, clients, customers, suppliers, etc.). Also responsible for ensuring best practices in networks and taking up projects and proposals relating to Wireless network infrastructure and network services.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Supervise the development of the respective network technology across SEHA Facilities.
• Execute detailed implementation instructions, carry out required changes to complete tasks/projects, resolve incidents/problems, and for changes/improvements requested by management and the architecture teams.
• Update/maintain all documentation requested by management and will be tasked with improving such documentation as required.
• Open work tickets and provide support with production outages, assist with product migrations/installations as the business requires.
• Gather and coordinate with resources from other technology teams when necessary to complete project deadlines.
• Undertake routine preventive measures, implement, maintain and monitor network security of the enterprise data communications networks.
• Perform security reviews and risk assessments on the network, computer and data systems.
• Develop, manage, and identify areas of improvement and prepare reports for any daily activities related to the network infrastructure such as UPS or switch problems, add and change switches, install and configure wireless devices and other routine activities related to the network infrastructure.
• Analyze proposed and actual projects in terms of equipment and resource needs.
• Provide technical and administrative guidance for planning and monitoring LAN/WAN/Wireless and Data Centers operations.
• Participate in the implementation configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized procedures relating to the use of the network environment within the enterprise.
• Participate in 24/7 rotation shift schedule and weekend shifts, to be called upon after the normal business day when needed.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network or a relevant field.
• 5 years of relevant progressive experience in a similar role.
• L2/L3 Central web authentication for guest On-prem/Cloud Deployment & Troubleshooting.
• WLC Anchor/Foreign Setup.
• Good routing and switching knowledge.
• Enterprise Wireless Certifications.
• NAC: Forescout/ISE/Huawei iMaster/Aruba Clearpass - In-depth Wireless authentication and authorization policy deployments and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Proficiency in English language.
• MS Office and computer proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
