NEBOSH IGC certified with 1 year of experience in the OHS field. Good communicator – English.

Amazon is looking for a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join the team. Year-on-year, as we continue to grow, we need to work as smart as we can to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated, and empowered.

To help us achieve this, we’re seeking a driven EHS Officer. With your Bias for Action, we’ll need you to step in and help drive health and safety across our fulfillment center in Riyadh. In this crucial WHS position, you’ll report to the WHS Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead site risk assessment for current and new activities.
2. Establish site WHS training matrix.
3. Lead implementation of site-specific WHS standards and guidelines.
4. Lead implementation of site WHS objectives and programs.
5. Promote a safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content to shift briefing.
6. Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site.
7. Work with the Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury.
8. Attend to incidents and occupational injuries on site.
9. Guide and assist area managers on incident investigations, Gensuite write up, and communication of lessons learned.
10. Assist Ops team in Gensuite follow-up sheet and CAPA creation.
11. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure Gensuite entries align with global WHS standards and local regulations.
12. Ensure PPE inventory at the site and coordinate with procurement for order placement.
13. Conduct weekly KSR audits and provide monitoring and support.
14. Ensure completion of basic Fire Fighting training and first aid training requirements.
15. Conduct daily powered industrial tool and trailer dock release inspections and communications.
16. Monitor and support Daily Action Tracking System.
17. Participate in site management safety walks, providing insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management.
18. Provide daily updates to the Country WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, KSR, ATS, network actions, etc.
19. Prepare WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write up, ATS creation.
20. Review and sign off on daily permits to work.
21. Lead WHS related procurement and follow up.
22. Prepare emergency response plans and manage/conduct emergency drills.
23. Establish, monitor and support Heat Index.
24. Provide support to site-specific requests, unplanned events, and activities.
25. Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits (e.g., hazard waste room inspection, spill kit inspection, first aid room).

Qualifications:

1. Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.
2. Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
3. Experience leading and managing a team.
4. Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
5. Experienced in emergency response and currently holds First Aid and CPR certificates.
6. Experience in Worker’s Compensation case management.
7. Passion for safety.
