The Senior Engineer Well Integrity is responsible for maintaining and developing the well integrity management systems including WIMS standards, and relevant procedures and guidelines and delivery tools:
Conduct integrity system audits or reviews, assist Share Holder or Internal Auditors, monitor and analyze well integrity performance data, support business units in implementing WIMS requirements, and serve as the primary source of advice and information to business units and management on well integrity issues.
Provide awareness/guidance to involved parties on integrity requirements, processes, and procedures.
Assist Drilling, Development, and fields to develop and prepare the annual wells integrity plan.
Assist in MOC applications/reviews, provide guidance, and participate in integrity assurance/reviews.
Complete and ensure timely and accurate data/inputs in appropriate data sources.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Follow up to ensure the Corporate Integrity Standards related to wells integrity and relevant procedures and guidelines are adopted properly for all well life cycle phases by Drilling, Asset Development, Operations, and Production teams.
Ensure Drilling and field production and operations are applying and complying with well integrity management requirements.
Assure adequate wells integrity through design, construction, monitoring, and preventive/corrective maintenance by Drilling, field production, and operations for all well lifecycle phases.
Review, maintain, and update well integrity processes, conduct well integrity reviews, and monitor compliance with WIMS requirements.
Ensure that corporate processes are applied, maintained, and adhered to via WIMS performance, health checks, quality assurance, and fitness for service.
Provide technical support related to WIMS requirements and communicate operating/critical envelope limits for operated wells.
As required, communicate and ensure the updated Well Integrity standards and manuals are properly adopted by all stakeholders for all well lifecycle phases.
Calculate and set annulus maximum allowable annulus surface pressures (MAASP’s).
Define operating envelope, calculate high-pressure alarm (HPA), and triggers.
Carry out MAASP/triggers recalculation.
Conduct well integrity reviews and monitor compliance with WIMS requirements.
Review, maintain, and update well integrity processes.
Establish monitoring, surveillance, and maintenance regimes for well barrier elements aimed at minimizing the potential risks of any impairment to well barrier envelopes.
Determine which barrier elements are considered safety-critical and require performance standards and assurance tasks that confirm compliance with WIMS standards.
Determine appropriate courses of action to address any well anomalies encountered during monitoring, surveillance, and maintenance regimes.
Establish risk of loss of containment considering well type, pressure, effluent, outflow potential, location, and environment against barrier redundancy.
Identify types of well anomaly and failure-related events possible for wells being assessed.
Assess the integrity of all ADCO wells (prioritize, risk assess, risk rank, and generate a clear risk ranking list with all risk registers developed along with clear action plans to properly monitor the integrity of critical wells and how to fix their integrity issues in compliance with CIS requirements).
Determine the potential consequences of each type of well failure-related event, and the magnitude of the risk of each based on the combined effect of consequence and likelihood.
Ensure all involved parties are aligned with well integrity requirements for all well lifecycle phases.
Review reports of Well Integrity testing and track remedial actions to ensure all outstanding Well Integrity issues are captured in the well integrity database for timely mitigating solutions.
Desired candidate profile
Communicate the analysis and trends of integrity threats to concerned parties and management.
Ensure verified well integrity lessons learned are captured and communicated to concerned parties.
Ensure all Well Integrity requirements are managed either riglessly and/or captured in wells prognosis and workover programs.
Provide technical support to Asset Development, Drilling, and field production and operations for well intervention problems and solutions.
Ensure Drilling and Asset operations perform work in accordance with the company’s established and approved Well Integrity Standards and procedures.
Identify integrity opportunities; sustain integrity system improvements by recommending integrity best practices and capturing end-user feedback.
Provide assurance to Drilling and Asset operations by coordinating with Well Integrity Engineers and with Engineering & Projects to ensure compliance with integrity requirements for new projects (assistance in the preparation of SOW & interpretation of integrity requirements & deliverables).
As assigned, perform WIMS-related duties such as participating in multi-divisional task forces, working groups, and incident investigation teams relevant to well integrity technical issues.
Understand and promote the company’s health, safety & environmental policy and objectives; perform work in accordance with the company’s established rules, regulations, and approved procedures; intervene to stop unsafe acts and practices; and be accountable for the well-being and safety of oneself and others, including all contracted labor force – unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled.
Plan, direct, and actively participate in the ongoing training and development of oneself, new hires, trainees, university students, and subordinates with special emphasis on UAE Nationals.
