Welding Engineer

Qualifications:

1. B.E. / B.Tech in Material / Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering with CSWIP 3.2.2 and minimum 5 to 10 years experience in Oil & Gas Construction Projects.
2. Gulf experience must.
3. Must have IIW (International Institute of Welding)/EWF (European Federation for Welding), International Welding Technologist (IWT)/Welding Engineer (IWE) certification.
4. Expert in welding and NDT Technology with at least ten (10) years of experience in a similar position for major oil/gas projects including five (5) years in a contractor organization.
5. Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing project welding specifications and ensuring the application of correct standards and accurate interpretation of contractual and project requirements.
2. Identifying all project welding requirements, preparing and qualifying welding procedures specifications, and designing welding inspection quality programs.
3. Providing innovative support with respect to the development and implementation of new technology.
4. Implementing and maintaining welding program policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
5. Ensuring welding compatibility with design requirements and the application of correct welding parameters.
