Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding processes and pipe cladding, particularly within the oil and gas sector. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and efficiency of our welding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures for cladding projects.
• Conduct welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure welding processes meet project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues during fabrication and field operations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to welding personnel and technicians.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in welding technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in all welding and coating activities.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in welding engineering, specifically in cladding within the oil and gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, SAW, FCAW).
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS D1.1).
• Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI, CSWIP) is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in welding simulation software and CAD tools is a plus.
