Weight Operations Technical yst

Responsibilities

1. Develops complex inventory equipment lists, conducts inventories, weighs aircraft, determines center of gravity of aircraft and documents results.
2. Prepares Chapter 2 of the Weight and Balance Manual.
3. Balances flight control surfaces.
4. Calculates/adjusts weight requirements to balance flight control surfaces following repair and/or repaint.
5. Develops flight load planning and directs airplane loading of variable load elements.
6. Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on airplane gross weight and center of gravity and prepares flight manifests for pilot's signatures and flight release.
7. Weighs and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies.
