Web3 Game Economy Designer (ESOP Only)

Obinex is a Pre-Seed stage Startup on a mission to develop a Centralized exchange and a Blockchain platform, both from scratch and with Large Language Models integration to facilitate the adoption of the centralized economy in the decentralized space and give way to a more secure centralization. As we are in a very early stage, the equity offering is the only part of the conversation until we are funded (2 to 3 months). This will be subject to a probationary and vesting period.

Job Summary

The Web3 Game Economy Designer is responsible for designing and optimizing the economy of cryptocurrency-based games developed within Obinex CEX platform. This role requires expertise in game economy mechanics, mathematical modeling, and blockchain technology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in data analysis, financial modelling, risk management, creativity, collaboration abilities, and a solid understanding of regulations and user experience design.

What will you do

• Modeling the virtual economy: You will create and fine-tune the economic system for cryptocurrency games, which may include coins, tokens, NFTs, and other digital assets.
• Balancing inflation and deflation: You will implement strategies to control inflation or deflation within the game ecosystem. This includes defining how players will earn, spend, or trade assets.
• Monetization and business model: Assist in creating a gamified revenue model for each of the financial products within the CEX, such as transaction or staking fees, for users participating in the games. As a designer, you will need to ensure that in-game activities align with the company's business interests.
• Integration with other platforms: You will need to design mechanisms that allow in-game assets to be used in other environments, such as DeFi applications or NFT marketplaces, which will be integrated within the CEX.
• Encouraging participation: You will set and adjust incentives to ensure that players are actively participating, both in games and in token trading. These incentives may include tokens, NFTs, or rewards for in-game achievements.
• Gamification of transactions: You will develop player economic behavior and market activity to detect potential imbalances or opportunities for improvement. This could include competitive dynamics or rewards for completing certain actions.
• Preventing abuse and market manipulation: You will work on preventing practices such as pump and dump or abuse of in-game governance mechanisms. You will be responsible for continuously analyzing and adjusting economic rules to prevent manipulation of asset supply.
• Data analysis: You will monitor players' economic behavior and market activity to detect potential imbalances or opportunities for improvement. This includes collecting data on transactions, asset prices, number of active users, and other key indicators.
• Documentation and collaboration: You will create flowcharts and clear documentation on how the system works, avoiding financial imbalances that put Obinex's credibility at risk.
