Warehouse Supervisor

Monkey Distribution is the exclusive distributor for global brands in MENA, as well as operates 10 retail stores including the first Funko franchise store outside of the United States and the first Harry Potter Wizarding World store in the MENA region.

Role Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe receipt, storage, dispatch, and management of goods. This role focuses on optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

A) Operational Management

1. Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping.
2. Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders to meet customer requirements.
3. Optimize warehouse layouts and processes to maximize space and operational efficiency.
4. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

B) Team Leadership

1. Lead, mentor, and train warehouse staff to meet performance objectives.
2. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
3. Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure high productivity levels.
4. Promote a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.

C) Safety and Compliance

1. Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards.
3. Provide training to staff on proper handling of equipment and safety protocols.

D) Equipment and Maintenance

1. Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
2. Schedule routine inspections and servicing of equipment to prevent downtime.

E) Reporting and Documentation

1. Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and staff schedules.
2. Prepare reports on key warehouse metrics (e.g., inventory levels, order fulfillment rates).
3. Assist with audits and compliance checks as required.

F) Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement

1. Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance warehouse operations.
2. Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
3. Participate in strategic planning to improve warehouse capabilities and meet business goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
2. Skills:
3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in EXCEL.
5. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
8. UAE Driving license is an added advantage.
9. Certifications: Forklift certification (preferred); OSHA safety training (a plus).
