Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor assists the Assistant Warehouse Manager in ensuring efficient and smooth warehouse operations. This includes maintaining high standards of hygiene and organization, managing inventory and consumables, overseeing asset management, and supporting the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Warehouse Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining consistency and operational excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
Maintain cleanliness and organization standards in the warehouse as per company protocols.
Conduct regular inspections and report any issues related to hygiene or organization.
Support the execution of daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
Inventory Management:
Assist in accurate record-keeping for inventory and consumables.
Monitor stock levels of consumables and escalate replenishment needs as required.
Process event returns promptly.
Support the monthly stock counts for all warehouses and report discrepancies.
Asset Management:
Conduct routine checks of assets and identify discrepancies.
Ensure proper tracking and handling of deployable assets and accessories.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure assets are well-preserved and functional.
SOP Implementation:
Assist in executing warehouse activities in line with approved SOPs.
Highlight areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
Participate in training sessions to enhance operational knowledge and adherence.
Support warehouse staff in completing daily tasks and ensure team alignment with company goals.
Act as the primary point of contact for junior team members in the absence of the Assistant Warehouse Manager.
Provide feedback to the Assistant Manager on team performance and improvement areas.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare and submit weekly reports on inventory, consumables, and assets.
Communicate updates on daily warehouse activities to the Assistant Warehouse Manager.
Document any operational challenges and propose actionable solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
Basic proficiency in inventory management systems and reporting tools.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
