Warehouse Supervisor

Role: FMCG Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and timely dispatch of goods while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

• Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure all inventory is handled and stored in accordance with company and FMCG industry standards.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory control processes, including stock checks and cycle counts.
• Address and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Order Fulfillment:

• Supervise picking, packing, and dispatch processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with logistics teams for on-time delivery of goods to customers.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure warehouse operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Train staff on proper handling of goods, especially for perishable items in FMCG.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for operational improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Use KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and propose corrective measures.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, receipts, dispatches, and damages.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management

Team Management:

• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure team adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular team briefings to communicate goals, priorities, and performance updates.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and SAP
• Knowledge of FMCG products, including storage and handling requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in FMCG.
• Familiarity with lean warehousing practices and inventory control systems.
