The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and timely dispatch of goods while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure all inventory is handled and stored in accordance with company and FMCG industry standards.
Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control processes, including stock checks and cycle counts.
Address and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Order Fulfillment:
Supervise picking, packing, and dispatch processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Coordinate with logistics teams for on-time delivery of goods to customers.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure warehouse operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Train staff on proper handling of goods, especially for perishable items in FMCG.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for operational improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Use KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and propose corrective measures.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory, receipts, dispatches, and damages.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management
Team Management:
Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
Ensure team adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
Conduct regular team briefings to communicate goals, priorities, and performance updates.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and SAP
Knowledge of FMCG products, including storage and handling requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
5-7 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in FMCG.
Familiarity with lean warehousing practices and inventory control systems.
