Job Summary

We seek a skilled and dedicated DHA Registered Operating Theatre (OT) Nurse to join our surgical team. The OT Nurse will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of surgical procedures, infection control, and patient safety protocols, ensuring smooth and efficient operation in the OT.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available.
2. Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control policies.
3. Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery, responding promptly to any emergencies.
4. Handle and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently.
5. Work closely with the surgical team to maintain smooth workflow and patient safety.
6. Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and hospital policies related to patient care.
7. Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including patient education and wound management.
8. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, medications, and patient responses in medical records.
9. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and guidelines for nursing practice.
10. Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) programs and training to stay updated on best practices in OT nursing.

Requirements

1. DHA License / Eligibility: Must be DHA registered as an OT Nurse.
2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution.
3. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an OT Nurse in a hospital or surgical centre.
4. Skills:
5. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic techniques.
6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
7. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
9. Languages: Proficiency in English is required;
