The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures productivity targets are met, warehouse processes run smoothly, and inventory is well-maintained to support business operations. Warehouse Operations Management
Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency in receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse processes.
Maintain optimal stock levels and manage inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
Ensure proper organization and storage of goods to maximize space utilization and minimize handling time.
Monitor and improve warehouse KPIs such as order fulfillment rates, inventory accuracy, and turnaround times.
Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, including shift supervisors, pickers, and loaders.
Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure productivity.
Conduct training and development programs for warehouse personnel to enhance skills and safety awareness.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the warehouse team.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure warehouse operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain safety and operational compliance.
Implement warehouse security measures to prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized access.
Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory reports, shipment logs, and compliance documentation.
Process Improvement & Technology Integration
Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices in warehouse management.
Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance tracking, reporting, and overall operational efficiency.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate automation and digital solutions into warehouse operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
Experience in team leadership, staff supervision, and performance management.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools for reporting and decision-making.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of food distribution and cold chain logistics is a plus.
Experience working in distribution or FMCG warehouse environment.
