About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Amara Lounge in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly, professional and efficient F&B Service to all guests ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in a manner consistent with Jumeirah standards.
- Meet all reasonable needs and requests of customers within acceptable enterprise time frames.
- Prepare Outlet for service utilizing opening checklist and as instructed through briefings.
- Respect sequence of service during service periods and provide constant hands-on support.
- Embrace the Jumeirah Hallmarks and achieve company’s Mission and Vision.
- Greet and treat all colleagues in a friendly manner.
- Set a personal example for right conduct and behavior.
- Discuss food and wine choices with guests in detail.
- Maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests.
- Control usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools and service equipment.
- Communicate with Culinary Team to ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
- Ensure food pick up and service is impeccable and completed in a timely manner.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Set up tables, serve food and beverage to guests, and clear/clean tables.
- Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system.
- Coordinate food timings accordingly to Jumeirah Standards.
- Follow all SOP & SOS given to the service team.
- Understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by restaurant management.
- Ensure great knowledge of health and safety, HACCP and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain the outlet in perfect condition.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak)
- Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate)
- Leadership and team management skills
- Detail oriented
