Job description

As the VP Partnerships, you will be responsible for building, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that drive business growth and enhance Mondia’s market positioning. You will work cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing teams to identify partnership opportunities that align with Mondia’s business objectives and deliver innovative solutions to partners across the globe.

This is a key leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a proven track record of establishing and growing relationships with high-profile partners.

Strategic Partnership Development:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities to establish long-term, high-value partnerships in digital services, telecommunications, content, and technology sectors.
  • Lead negotiations and secure partnerships with key industry stakeholders, including telcos, content providers, technology companies, and platform operators.
  • Develop strategies to expand Mondia’s global footprint through targeted partnerships, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategic goals.

Relationship Management:

  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with senior executives at partner companies, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with partners to ensure successful execution and continuous improvement of joint initiatives.
  • Monitor performance of partnerships and collaborate with internal teams to address issues and optimize outcomes.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the product, marketing, and sales teams to co-create value propositions and ensure alignment of partnership efforts with product development and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the finance and legal teams to structure deals that maximize financial returns and mitigate risk.
  • Lead partnership reviews and provide feedback to internal stakeholders on business, market, and competitive developments.

Market Insights and Strategy:

  • Stay informed of industry trends, market shifts, and emerging technologies to proactively seek out new partnership opportunities.
  • Analyze and assess potential partners to identify synergies and strategic fit with Mondia’s offerings.
  • Develop business cases and present partnership opportunities to senior leadership, highlighting potential benefits, risks, and financial impacts
  • Responsible for overseeing and delivering/expanding Tier 1 partnerships (Netflix, Disney, Spotify, Youtube, etc) as well as Tier 2 (partners with revenues 10m-100m+ p/a)
  • Responsible for ensuring structured processes such as partner onboarding funnels (similar to Sales funnels) are implemented across teams
  • Responsible for working with VP of Europe and MEA respectively and meeting targeted launch volume of partners
  • Ensuring revenue performance of newly launched partners in the first 6 months of launch (ensuring appropriate partner+tenant fit, working with Product to ensure acquisition and registration flows are optimising, working with marketing team to optimise campaigns, and collaborating with partners to support in growth initiatives including product recommendations (e.g. pricing, frequency, etc)
  • Ensuring high engagement across all partners; ensuring data flows are in place with partners, monitoring data, and identifying improvements to drive uplift in engagement

Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably in digital services, telecoms, or technology.
  • Proven track record of establishing, negotiating, and scaling strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital content, SaaS, or telecom industries.
  • International experience and a global mindset, with a demonstrated ability to work across regions and cultures.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a strong sense of initiative and follow-through.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience building business cases to support strategic decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills to successful closure and execution
  • Excellent analytical skills and an ability to manage and forecast revenue
