Job Description

Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience; our volunteers play an important role in the continuing success of SSMC. As a volunteer, you will work alongside healthcare professionals providing important services to our patients and their families. Volunteers are selected based on their skills, abilities, interests, and experience.

Responsibilities

1. Enhancing Patient Experience: Volunteers contribute to a welcoming environment by assisting patients and their families.
2. Supporting Wayfinding and Inquiries: They help patients navigate the hospital, address concerns, and answer inquiries for a smoother experience.
3. Participating in Joy Activities: Volunteers join in the joy activities, bringing happiness and emotional support to patients, particularly long-term ones.
4. Helping with Hospital Events: Volunteers play an active role in hospital events, supporting event coordination and execution.
5. Building Community Engagement: The program strengthens hospital-community ties through collaboration.
6. Developing Personal Skills: Volunteers can develop new skills, gain experience, and build confidence in a healthcare environment.
