As part of the Public Relations & Media Office responsibilities, the goal of this role is to cover all university events with relevant photos and videos, as well as fulfill photography and videography requirements as requested by any department from time to time. This includes coverage of visits to various locations, conferences, events, activities, and more. Additionally, the role involves creating marketing video concepts for the university and producing engaging videos that resonate with students.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Conceptualizing and writing ideas, setting up lighting, composing, and editing high-quality video clips.
- Covering university events, activities, exhibitions, conferences, orientation sessions, visits, and more through photography and videography.
- Facilitating and coordinating tasks requested by faculty members and other departments to complete video or photography projects.
- Editing and processing images to ensure high quality, uploading them to the university website, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Producing videos and uploading them to the university’s YouTube channel while ensuring on-time submission.
- Archiving the university’s photos and videos.
- Creating innovative and advanced marketing video ideas for the university.
- Producing short videos tailored to the university community that engage students.
- Communicating with team members to gather the necessary photography and video materials for high-quality production.
- Understanding digital photography and staying updated with new developments and technologies.
- Editing various types of videos.
- Proficiency in using editing software for still images, footage, sound effects, and dialogue.
- Ability to use AI-powered tools to assist in visual content production.
- Incorporating dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Overseeing the final project delivery before approval for publication.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in photography, image and video editing and processing, video montage, animation, and visual effects.
- 3-5 years of experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects.
- Experience in Adobe Illustrator (a plus).
- Experience using AI-powered tools relevant to the role.
- Ability to create fresh, youthful, and student-friendly content aligned with the university community.
- Proficiency in handling camera equipment.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Excellent communication skills with team members and the university community.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Valid UAE driver’s license and own vehicle (mandatory)
