Video Editor

A Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting or online distribution. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and vision. You will collaborate with the creative team to bring concepts to life, ensuring the final product is engaging and meets the desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Video Editing:
1. Assemble raw footage and transfer or upload it to a computer.
2. Follow a script, outline, or shot list to edit video content.
3. Input sound, graphics, and special effects to enhance footage.
4. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
5. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity.
2. Collaboration:
1. Work closely with the creative team, including directors, producers, and graphic designers, to create a cohesive narrative.
2. Collaborate on script development, shot selection, and storyboarding.
3. Quality Control:
1. Ensure the project meets quality standards and is completed on time.
2. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
4. File Management:
1. Organize and manage all project files and maintain an archive of all project files and assets.
2. Export and deliver final videos in various formats for different platforms.

Requirements:

1. Proven work experience as a Video Editor.
2. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
3. Strong portfolio showcasing video editing capabilities.
4. Creative mind and storytelling skills.
5. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
6. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Skills (Optional):

1. Experience with color grading and audio editing.
2. Familiarity with various video formats and codecs.
3. Understanding of social media video requirements and trends.
