Job Description

Role Summary

As the VP of Omnichannel Technology, the successful candidate will be responsible for the technology strategy & delivery of retail, supply chain, and digital solutions. This role will collaborate with Business Technology Partners and key stakeholders to support cross-functional transformation programmes and key technology projects across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertake high-level technical architecture & design oversight of the Retail & Supply Chain & Digital Tech products working with product development teams both onshore/offshore and third parties.
  2. Responsible for the design, development, execution, and delivery of retail & supply chain & digital technology strategies and products, utilizing Agile methodologies and product teams to drive business growth and enhance customer experience.
  3. Act as the focal point and Technology leader for all Retail and Supply Chain Technology & Digital solutions, advising stakeholders on the Technology roadmap.
  4. Work with the CDTO to shape the future technology and solution roadmap for Operations.
  5. Chair and present the progress of the Retail & Supply Chain & Digital Technology roadmaps to the Executive Board.
  6. Ensure that Operations / Retail and Supply Chain / Digital Tech solution requirements are defined and planned effectively for DevSecOps delivery management.
  7. Manage the operational activity of external vendors and delivery partners.
  8. Pro-actively manage and mitigate delivery risks.
  9. Ensure successful management of the service transition process from project to business-as-usual.
  10. Collaborate with services colleagues to ensure that product issues are within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
  11. Oversee the development and maintenance of digital and retail & supply chain systems.
  12. Collaborate with the Chief Omnichannel Officer and Chief Operation Officer to drive omnichannel initiatives.
  13. Enhance Agile and SAFe Agile methodologies.
  14. Manage budgets and track project spend.
  15. Construct detailed TCOs and business cases.
  16. Manage a team of 100+ employees.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. 15+ years of experience in digital technology leadership roles, focusing on e-commerce and mobile website development.
  3. Solid background in the Retail, Supply Chain, Delivery, and Digital Technology domains.
  4. In-depth experience in the application of technology to business processes.
  5. Proven experience managing multi-million budgets and full P&L.
  6. Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycles.
  7. Previous experience in software development/coding.
  8. Demonstrated ability to build consensus and lead amongst diverse stakeholders.
  9. Experience in digital, retail, and supply chain systems.
  10. Strong understanding of customer KPIs and metrics.
  11. Experience managing large teams of 50+ resources.
  12. Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities.
  13. Experience in developing and mentoring talent.
  14. Deep understanding of how digital and retail organisations manage their end-to-end product flow.
  15. Good working knowledge of the digital, retail, and supply chain business landscapes.
