Job Description

The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and establish strong trade marketing and channel partnership initiatives. This role requires a highly motivated leader with a proven track record in sales leadership, trade marketing, and building channel partnerships within the furniture, home decor, or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the furniture business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new markets, customers, and opportunities for business expansion.
  • Set and manage ambitious sales targets, ensuring the team meets or exceeds performance goals.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with key channel partners, including distributors, retailers, and trade networks.
  • Lead the creation of trade marketing strategies and campaigns that support the growth and promotion of the furniture products through various channels.
  • Identify and manage strategic partnerships that enhance market presence and leverage trade opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to ensure the teams continuous growth and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, using insights to shape strategic decisions.
  • Analyze market conditions and sales data to adjust strategies and ensure Furniture remains competitive and innovative.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to contribute to business planning and decision-making at the senior leadership level.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key customers, ensuring long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Lead high-level negotiations with clients and partners to secure mutually beneficial agreements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably within the furniture, home decor, or consumer goods industry.
  • Design & manufacturing background preference + marketing.
  • Proven experience in trade marketing and channel partnership development, with a demonstrated ability to manage and grow distribution networks.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on driving performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate market trends into actionable sales strategies.
  • Experience working with luxury brands is an advantage.
